Open-Pit Excavator
A bank of cloud holds the horizon down while the wheel waits at the edge of blackened ground. Terraces recede like seats in an emptied arena, and the machine occupies the silence after impact. Its cables pull the eye outward, then back to the raw bite of the pit. The frame tightens without moving.
A bucket-wheel excavator stands inside a carved basin of soil and coal-black ground, where pale terraces and sudden light turn industry into a severe, unsettling geometry.
