Looking Out From Tour 17, Orléans

The frame sets its terms immediately: dark body, blown sky, a low wall cutting the city in two. Nothing moves, yet the scene tightens around the shoulders and the fogged traces on the glass. It feels like the pause before a decision, when the world is all exit and no instruction.

A lone figure meets the washed horizon from behind broad panes of glass. The room holds its weight in concrete and shadow while the city thins into pale distance.
