Black Sand Monoliths
The beach lies dark as cooled metal, refusing softness. Out of the white surge, two sea stacks rise with different tempers: one blunt and split, one slender and solitary, half-veiled by spray. Nothing here asks for admiration. It asks for steadiness.
Two sea stacks hold their ground while surf unravels around them. In black and white, the beach turns granular and dark, the water nearly luminous, and the horizon seems to dissolve into spray.
